Join us in the classroom for this three session night-class, aimed at people who recreationally, or commercially, undertake outdoor adventurous activities and want to learn, expand, or refresh their knowledge of New Zealand weather, where it comes from, and what it all means.

This course covers, but is not limited to:

  • Global weather
  • NZ weather
  • Charts and maps
  • Clouds and lifting air
  • Forecasting while out of “coverage”
Please note: This course is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years. Participants aged under 16 years must be accompanied by a paying adult.


Course Dates // Each course runs over 3 evening sessions—

Wednesday 4th December, Wednesday 11th December, and Wednesday 18th December 2024.

Course Time // Each session runs from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

Location // Adventure Southland, 810 North Road, Lorneville, Invercargill

This course will only proceed if minimum numbers are met. You will be notified if the course does not go ahead.
